The AIYA aims to give youth a voice, which will be heard and listened to by the government, providers of services for youth and national and international communities and other agencies which have an interest in the views of youth and in needs of youth.

• Increase the participation of youth and youth organizations in the society and in decision-making processes and providing youth global opportunities to build their future.
• Positively influence policy issues affecting youth and youth organizations, by being a recognized partner for national and international institutions.
• Promote the concept of youth policy as an integrated and cross-sectorial element of overall policy development, namely through youth mainstreaming.
• Facilitate the participation of young people through the development of sustainable and independent youth organizations at the local, regional and national level and International level, particularly in respect to ensuring dependable and adequate funding for them, Promote of youth leaders through national youth parliament, national youth awards, International Model United Nations, International Volunteers.
• Promote the exchange of ideas and experience, mutual understanding, as well as the equal rights and opportunities among youth.
• Uphold intercultural understanding, democracy participation, human dignity, social inclusion, diversity, human rights, active citizenship and solidarity.
