ASHNA INTERNATIONAL YOUTH VOLUNTEERS (AIYV):
AIYV is the found it project of AIYA in Afghanistan, The purpose of volunteering is generally considered an altruistic activity and is intended to promote goodness or improve human quality of life. In return, this activity can produce a feeling of self-worth and respect. There is no financial gain involved for the individual. Volunteering is also renowned for skill development, socialization, and fun. Volunteering may have positive benefits for the volunteer as well as for the person or community served. It is also intended to make contacts for possible employment. It is helping, assisting, or serving another person or persons without pay. Many volunteers are specifically trained in the areas they work, such as medicine, education, or emergency rescue. Others serve on an as-needed basis, such as in response to a natural disaster.
Aims:
As an educational institution we aim to improve skill development and strengthen the capacity for self-transformation of the youth and make them eligible with transformation of experience to work as employee.
AIYV accept volunteers in the categories of:
- Education (School, Universities, Institution and Individuals to support)
- Health and Emergency (Health supportive program to IDPs and natural disaster)
- Agriculture and Water supply (Planet and participation in growth of planet)
- Social (Environment and Rural Development)
- Women Development Programs (Health, Development, Trainings and etc)
- Global Youth Development Programs (Global Support Program)
Volunteer work is a kind of social service contributed by someone who devotes his time and energy not for material rewards in return but to make our society a better place to live. Participation in volunteer work is a manifestation of human equality, mutual love and learning an expression of love, care and sharing a fulfilment of civic responsibility and contribution to the society.
